A typical 6.1-inch phone is 7.8 mm thick: 0.6 mm of cover glass over a 0.9 mm OLED panel (2400 × 1080, 431 ppi), an aluminium frame whose 0.6 mm midplate holds it together, a 5 mm cavity where the 4.3 mm battery (3,800 mAh, 14.7 Wh) sits beside a logic board of two stacked boards, and 0.7 mm of back glass carrying the 15 W charging coil. The ruler on the bench is in millimetres.
